Introduction
Android Emulation is playing console games (super nintendo, sega, playstation) on an Android Device, whether it be a tablet or a phone. To emulate, you need to download emulator from the Google Play Market or a 3rd party source, such as: Roms4Droid or SlideMe Market. After an emulator is installed, a user will provide a copy of a ROM, obtained legally, and load it within the Emulator to begin playing a game.
Most Android Emulators will come with various features such as:
- Screenshots
- Frame Rate Tweaking
- Save States
- Input Settings (Key Mappings, Bluetooth Controllers, Virtual Keypad)
- Scaling Modes
- Screen Upside-down (useful if d-pad is on the right side, but you want it on the left side)
- Screen Orientation
- Fast Forward Speed Modes
- Screen Refresh Rate
- Key Mappings
