Hamtaro Ham Ham Heartbreak Freeze

I've been trying to get this game to work for hours. I've entered cheats that's supposed to let you bypass the freeze but they won't work. As soon as I get through selecting characters names and whatnot it will freeze and not go any further. Help? Its on gamboid!

Which system is this for?

Its for GBA and I'm using gameboid.

Use Droid Emu Lite instead, see if that works

Still no luck it does the same thing.
